Site Under Construction! Thank you for your patience - Maren
I take a holistic approach to equine bodywork, assessing every factor from injury history and conformation to environment and mental well-being to address the root cause of discomfort rather than just the symptoms.
My sessions center on myofascial release and trigger point therapy, enhanced by red light therapy, kinesiology taping, targeted stretches, balance pads, and custom physical therapy "homework" plans. Whether your horse is a high-performance athlete or an older, retired companion, my goal is to reduce tension and improve comfort in a calm, safe environment where they can fully decompress!
Initial bodywork sessions are for new clients or horses I do not see on a regular (4-week) or semi-regular (8-week) schedule. These extended appointments allow for a comprehensive review of the horse’s history, past limitations, and current concerns, along with a full movement assessment. During this session, we will discuss your horse's lifestyle, workload, and specific restrictions to identify areas needing additional strength work and develop a personalized care plan moving forward.
These sessions are designed for horses seen on a bimonthly schedule (every 8 weeks). This is an ideal option for horses that require extra attention when monthly sessions aren't feasible, such as retired or older companions without major issues, or horses in moderate-to-mild work that benefit from occasional support.
Clients who utilize my regular hoof care services also qualify for the semi-regular bodywork rate, even if they aren't on a routine bodywork schedule! Similar to initial sessions, we will review the horse’s history and current needs, but with the benefit of the existing background knowledge I already have regarding your horse.
Regular sessions are designed for any horse, but are especially beneficial for horses in heavy work, those with existing pathologies, or those undergoing rehabilitation. These appointments are available for horses seen on a consistent schedule of every four weeks or less. As with all my sessions, we will develop a personalized care plan, provide tailored homework exercises, and maintain a detailed assessment of your horse's progress.
